Julia Nolen has been an Extravadancer since the age of three, where she transitioned from a recreational dancer to a competitive dance at the age of nine through graduating with honors from the North Carolina Leadership Academy in the spring of 2020. While continuing her dance training in lyrical, contemporary, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and musical theater, she also has been instrumental in teaching students for the last five years.
With a soft-hearted and kind personality, Julia has been an assistant for the Dreams in Motion and several recreational classes for various age groups over the years.
Julia has continuously been a high achiever. In high school she was inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts and the National Honor Society. Currently she is attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro pursuing a degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
She is committed to continuing to assist with teaching dance classes at ED&T throughout her college career. While in the classroom, she loves watching the young dancers learn and grow while having fun. Dance has been her passion since she was young, and she’s thrilled to share this with others.
