Katlyn began her personal dance journey at the age of four. She has been teaching dance, acro and cheer for seven years, the last two at Extravadance and Tumble (both studio locations). She has been training in the Acrobatic Arts program alongside Erica Summerlin and there has been an amazing turnaround in all the acro skills in our all of Academy Acro classes! Katlyn choreographs routines for her local high school and middle school cheer squads as well as for the studios.
As a competition dancer, Katlyn earned many top awards and as an instructor, has been acknowledged at competition for her choreography for dance and cheer. She often says she loves all the children she teaches – even the ones that she just passes in the halls that are not in her classes. “My philosophy in the classroom is that with hard work, determination and positivity you can achieve anything. Never say you can’t!” says Katlyn. She is a great asset to ED&T!
Katlyn lives in Reidsville, NC with her 9 year old son, Colton.
