Aimee Crepeau

Aimee Crepeau has been a committed instructor at Extravadance & Tumble for over 20 years, teaching all ages and dance genres for various combination classes.

Starting dance at the age of three, classical ballet quickly became her focus and passion. Due to traveling the world as a military brat, Aimee has experienced dance training across the United States and the Azores.

She has been well trained in dance at both the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and the University of Cincinnati. With such training, she has danced in the movie Dirty Dancing and performed on MTV’s “The Grind” for a season. As a member of the Cincinnati Ballet and the Land of the Sky Civic Ballet in Asheville, N.C., she has also performed as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara and Four Swans in Swan Lake.

Aimee also has a personal passion for being engaged with children with special needs. Inspired by her brother Michael, she helped to create the Dreams In Motion special needs dance classes at Extravadance for boys and girls of all ages and functionalities.

When she transitioned from dancing to teaching, Aimee felt blessed to find her home at Extravadance and excited to be one of the ballet teachers for the new Academy Program.  Her teaching philosophy is simply to share her love of music and movement with any level dancer developing a child’s dance technique while having fun.

Aimee loves children and seeing the aha moments when they accomplish a step or position for the first time. She loves it when their favorite songs are played, and they can’t help but move and even sometimes sing out loud to the music! It’s also personal for Aimee because she has a 7 year old daughter Tallulah, currently dancing on the Competition team at ED&T!
